Hi, I’m Donny Miller—Welcome to AquaLogicHQ

I’ve spent the last 15 years with my hands underwater, and I’ve loved (almost) every second of it.

Like most people in this hobby, I started with a single tank and a mountain of questions. Today, my home is a “fish room” in progress, serving as the living laboratory for everything you read here. Currently, I’m maintaining:

A 50-Gallon Community Tank: My main display and a constant lesson in aquatic social dynamics.
A 20-Gallon Long Planted Tank: Where I obsess over CO2 levels, nutrient balance, and aquascaping.
A 20-Gallon Breeder: My “testing lab” for new equipment, filtration methods, and species.
A Nano Betta Tank: A small, beautiful reminder of where the hobby began for me.

Why I Founded AquaLogicHQ

I’ll be honest: I’ve made every mistake in the book. I’ve survived catastrophic pH crashes, fought losing battles with Black Brush Algae, and spent way too much money on “innovative” gear that ended up in the trash.

I created AquaLogicHQ because I got tired of “expert advice” that clearly came from people who have never actually owned a fish. Every guide, review, and troubleshooting tip on this site comes from one of two places: my personal workbench or 15 years of trial and error.

The AquaLogic Promise: No BS, Just Results

You won’t find BS content here. If a product is great, I’ll tell you why. If a piece of gear is a waste of your hard-earned money, I’ll be the first to say it. My goal is to help you spend less time worrying about your water chemistry and more time enjoying your fish.
